Google has released a unified front page especially for the iPhone. Slightly misleadingly, Google calls it the iPhone Application, but it is just a streamlined web app.
The big difference is speed. Instead of keeping Gmail, Calendars, Search and Google Reader in separate Safari tabs, switching between the services is now almost instant, thanks to the wonders of Ajax. Users need do nothing but visit Google.com.
It'll detect your browser's user agent string and send you to the right place, where you can sign in if you haven't already. There's also drop-down access to the Goog's other services: Picasa, Docs, Notebook, news, 411 and, somewhat redundantly, SMS.
