Q: Having lived and worked in Mumbai in a milieu surrounded by the fine arts and movies, how do you find living where you do in America — Colorado is not exactly known to be a cultural hub?

A: That’s not correct at all. You will be surprised at the Indian community there. They are just as culturally inclined just like the people from Shamli, the village we have created in the film. They are very rooted and want their kids to learn and be constantly exposed to Indian dance, music and values. It is only that way that their children will get an identity of their own in the society in which they have to live. We too want Arin and Ryan to look at their lives through our eyes.
