Anthony Castillo has been charged with stabbing his uncle, Luis Alberto Santana, during a dispute over an unnamed PlayStation game.

Shortly after the event, Mr. Castillo (pictured at right) was taken into police custody, while Mr. Santana was taken to a hospital where he has been listed in critical condition, with hospital officials adding that "the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening."

Obviously the impetus for the violence in this case wasn't a game so much as it was short tempers, and we're quite impressed with the mainstream press handling it as such. The fact that the game caused a dispute leading to violence is mentioned, but only once, and no officials ever state that they are looking at gaming as the key motivator.

Perhaps the media is turning a corner.
