
Thanks to the massive demand for the Wii and the shortages it has created, Nintendo has been forced to remove ads in the UK for the system during the holiday season.
The ads will be replaced with spots for Nintendo's much-easier-to-find DS handheld.
Though Nintendo has repeatedly boosted production numbers of the Wii, they have yet to ever meet consumer demand. As a result, the company has decided that "retailers have been running out of consoles and it would be irresponsible to continue with the campaign."
