If you haven't already downloaded Radiohead's latest album or ordered the discbox, time is tunning out. The band has elected to end its offer to let fans download In Rainbows in the MP3 format for whatever they felt like paying on December 10th, according to a recent post on their official blog, Dead Air Space.
In addition, they won't be making any more of the discboxes containing the album on CD and two vinyl records, a CD of bonus tracks and digital photos, and a hardcover book of artwork and lyrics. If you want to buy In Rainbows after the downloads disappear and the discboxes run out, you'll have to buy it on standard CD or vinyl.
The experiment will soon come to an end; we hope to have some detailed numbers to share soon, which would allow other bands and labels to learn from the experience.
Update: Radiohead are also said to be in talks with Apple to sell In Rainbows via the iTunes music store, which sells songs as singles, although the band has insisted in the past that they only want to sell their music as complete albums.
