Yahoo apparently still knows how to splurge on a good time. The company's Fire and Ice themed year-end party, held at San Mateo Expo Center on Saturday night, was a pretty extravagant affair, we hear.
Although there weren't any big-name bands or American Idol losers (like Chris Daughtry, who performed at the 2006 party), no expense was spared: There was an indoor ice skating rink, an airbrush tattoo station (apparently it was a hit with the ladies), ice sculptures, and women dressed in fairy costumes -- some on stilts -- running around.
Not bad for a company that posted a nearly 5 percent decline in its most recent quarterly profit.
