In an interview with Sega Nerds, Nights creator Takashi Iizuka delivered the disappointing, but not terribly surprising, news that as of right now, the PS2 version of Nights is only slated for release in Japan:

There are currently no plans for the PS2 version to be released outside of Japan, and no plans for a Wii version either. It is being released in Japan, due to the high demand for the game. So there are no plans for a worldwide release...so far.

Sega might be persuaded to change its mind if Nights: Journey of Dreams does exceptionally well on the Wii, or the American audience needs to start kicking up a fuss, but sadly I don't really see either of those things happening.
