To address the issue Mozilla has cranked out Firefox 2.0.0.11 — the fastest turnaround time yet for the popular open source browser.

The bug in .10 broke a Firefox feature that displays images with special effects — rotating pictures, image reflections and more. A number of site developers and plugin authors were rather unhappy with the regression, but given that Mozilla turned around a fix in just over forty eight hours, we'd say they did an excellent job of cleaning up the mess.

If your copy of Firefox hasn't automatically updated you can grab the latest version from the Mozilla site.

In other Firefox news, tomorrow will see the code freeze for Firefox 3 beta 2. With the code in place, preliminary testing can begin which means, hopefully, Firefox 3 beta 2 will stay on track and should arrive sometime before the holidays.
