The Press-Telegram says something's up, but couldn't get any city workers to confirm that "Untitled Feature Film" or "Corporate Headquarters" – the code names offered for a shoot under way at Long Beach City Hall this week – are cover for the next installment in the Trek saga.
"It's some kind of space thing," said a Long Beach police officer about the Hollywood-style activity, a tip the paper called "the closest to the truth we got all day." The Press-Telegram's main source for the scoop: It was "tipped off early by Our Geek in Trekkieland, and Trekkies don't lie."
The City Hall complex was also used as a location for the original Battlestar Galactica TV show, the paper noted, quoting Battlestar Wiki.
