Vice magazine and Adidas Originals have teamed up to create a playfully pixelated online game that lets users create their ideal virtual music fest; the most popular entries are eligible for a boatload of prizes.
Apparently, only Australian residents are eligible for the schwag, but it's a fun time-suck if you've got some downtime to spare.
Here's how it works:
After selecting a virtual venue, you've got a budget of $100K, and more than 200 bands to choose from, including M.I.A, Dizzee Rascal, The White Stripes, Boris and Spankrock. Book the after-hours shindig, design your promo poster and you're all set.
Promo your killer fest any way you please (MySpace, check! Facebook, check! Email spam to friends and family, check!), and cross your fingers.
The Aussie entry with the most "attendance" or site visits scores a sweet prize: a trip for two to the 2008 Berlin
Festival that includes flights and sleep digs, plus VIP treatment courtesy of Vice (which could mean any number of things, really) and an Adidas shopping spree in
Berlin.
