"Luxury" gadgets exist in a parallel universe. In the real world, more expensive means more features and more up to date. In the World of Bling, however, value is related to limited edition runs and exotic materials. Specifications come a distant second.
With this in mind, read the decidedly 2006 feature list of the Stealth, from Mobiado: The GSM Edge handset packs a QVGA display, a 2MP camera (with video), microSD slot, push-to-talk (yes, it's still around), a pair of speakers, Bluetooth and an MP3 player.
But Daddy's money won't be spent on out of date tech. It'll be spent on the aircraft aluminum faceplate, the sapphire glass screen. And it will be spent on assuring the owner is one of only 12,000.
The name "Stealth" hints a the target market. The press release, however, works this demographic into a manly froth:
Like any good boutique store, the prices are not on display.
