The New York Times was wrong when it said that complete Nintendo DS games would soon be downloadable to the portable console via the Wii's Internet connection, Nintendo said today.
In a statement sent to Kotaku, Nintendo said that company president Reggie Fils-Aime was referring to the already-announced DS demo download service when he spoke to a Times reporter.
This proves once again that reading the Times' corrections is generally more interesting, informative, and hilarious than reading the actual articles. While the *Times *has not yet appended this particular correction to their piece, they've already got two or three on there, mostly over ongoing confusion as to how to spell "Fils-Aime."
But absolutely nothing beats my favorite Times correction ever, which is nearly as long as the article that it corrects:
