A new color of PS3 will be coming to Japan in March--not the blazing red we keep hoping for, but rather a sleek "Satin Silver."
The 40 GB model comes with a DualShock 3 controller and will be available March 6th for about $372.
The release coincides well with the lineup of budget-priced rereleases, including games like Resistance: Fall of Man, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Ridge Racer 7, that's planned for later in the month.
I'd be curious to see if a similar strategy would work here. If we got a brand new color --red, perhaps, or the ceramic white-- and a number of games were rerelased at $35 a pop, would you be more likely to invest in a PS3? What if it was a new color and a slimline?
