On the heels of the writers strike, a Los Angeles stage production is presenting some of the worst writing that town sees with Magnum Opus Theatre.
One of the theater company’s struggling members once held a job at a Hollywood production company as a script reader. That poor soul had to slog through piles of awful scripts just in case one of them wasn’t absolute garbage. Choosing the worst of the worst (and editing enough material out to avoid copyright infringement under parody rules), Magnum Opus Theatre presents a terrible script verbatim — including botched dialogue, typos, confused stage directions and illogical blocking.
