The pulsating red lights on LG's new KF600 remind me of nothing more than KITT, the talking car from Knight Rider. But apart from the 80s retro-chic, the phone's standout feature is clearly the 3MP camera, which has image stabilization, red-eye reduction and white balance control, all manipulated by the smart red LED touchpad.
Other features include EDGE, a microSD slot, an FM tuner, a music player and a "Secretary Half Mirror Panel". I didn't ask.
Of all the manufacturers at this year's GSMA show, LG is using touch in the most innovative way, and despite flaws, its phones are among the easiest to use.
