More Companies Looking To Buy Take-Two

It's not just Electronic Arts looking to make Take-Two Interactive Software its life partner. The Associated Press reports today that the Grand Theft Auto maker has had other buyout offers.

Take-Two, which is based in New York, said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission Thursday that since EA issued a press release on Sunday expressing interest in the company, it has received other "informal indications of interest in a business combination."

But, said the company, it has not entered into any "substantive discussions" with any party in regards to an acquisition.

I'd make some comment, but Joystiq already nailed it: "When the most popular guy in school gets turned down by a relatively popular girl, then everyone else suddenly thinks they have a chance with her."
