
An R.E.M. message board quotes the German magazine Der Spiegel as indicating that R.E.M. will webcast a concert later this month.
That translates loosely as:
However, the item in question appears to have been taken down from the page on Der Spiegel
where it apparently originally appeared. Could the announcement have beenleaked by mistake? Or was it a mistake itself?

PBS is scheduled to broadcast REM playing live on March 13th at SXSW this year on the Austin City Limits
show (possibly the source of Der Spiegel's confusion). Austin CityLimits is delighted: "That [REM] have picked our stage to showcasetheir firstnew CD in four years means a lot to everyone at Austin City Limits."
(REM's next album, Accelerate, will be released on March 28 outside of the US, April 1 therein.)
