UPDATE: Sony has made everything below official with a press release, although they list "late Q2" as the MGS4 drop date.
Now for the $64,000 question: Will this PS3 have backward compatibility? [Update 2: Yes!]
ORIGINAL: Seems as if those lovable muckraking scamps over at Kotaku have a mole at Destination PlayStation, Sony's conference for retail buyers, and they have some scoops about PlayStation 3's most anticipated new products.
To wit:
- The DualShock 3 rumble controller will ship in the U.S. on April 15 for $55 (ouch!);
- Metal Gear Solid 4 will drop on June 12, and there will be an 80 GB hardware bundle with the game and DS3 controller (Update: $500);
- A red PSP packed with God of War: Chains Of Olympus will also hit in June (Update: $200, and it'll also include Superbad on UMD and a free download of Syphon Filter: Combat Ops).
