Square Enix announced this morning that the company's second Wii title, a dungeon hack game featuring the lovable Chocobo, will indeed make its way to the U.S. this summer.

Hey, it wasn't exactly guaranteed. Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon isn't a game with broad appeal: It's a pretty straightforward roguelike, where all your entertainment is derived from plowing through turn-based dungeon battles and collecting loot. If previous games in the series haven't appealed to you, this one doesn't diverge much from the formula, in my experience.
