After recently revealing scant details on the upcoming downloadable content for Burnout Paradise, Criterion Games Creative Director Alex Ward posted a short comment to the game’s forums saying that the upcoming downloadable islands "will all be FREE."
By "islands", Ward is referring to additional areas added onto the already existing Burnout Paradise cityscape. Since it has no real free space left, Criterion is forced to create actual islands to give players more room to race.
Cryptically, Ward also stated "I think we’ll make you work for some of these," presumably referring to the upcoming downloadable vehicles (one of which, the "Dust Storm," is the focus of the above video).
What he means by "work" is unclear, though if I had to guess, I’d assume it involves handing them a bit of cash.
