Current TV To Premiere 'The Fix Extended Play' (Like MTV but with Music)

Current TV will broadcast a new show tonight that combines interviews, tour band footage, and music from new or otherwise exciting bands.  Think of it like an extended, 30-minute version of Current TV’s Fix webcasts, or MTV if they focused on good music.

The first episode features a decent range of musical styles:

Inthe premiere episode, viewers will find themselves gettingup-close-and-personal with Portland-based punk rock band The Thermals, watching UK electro-pop band Hot Chip discuss friends and fellowmusicians, Gang Gang Dance.

The show will also feature short pieces from "electronica/punk/reggae-influencedsinger and songwriter" Santogold and segments produced by "hip-hop, folk maestro" Tim Fite.

The series premieres tonight at 7pm PST /10pm EST (see the lower right area of Current TV’s website for local channel information).
