Ten days. That's how long we have to wait until Google releases first-quarter results. The company finally scheduled its first-quarter earnings call for April 17, after market close.
While Google haters are looking forward to a rotten quarter -- there's rampant speculation that the company could blow expectations in the wake of sluggish advertising click-through rates -- few people can accurately project results since the company refuses to give financial guidance to Wall Street analysts.
This much we do know, however: Lots of analysts have trimmed their expectations over the last four weeks, and the stock has gotten trashedin recent months.
Other companies to watch:
- Ebay kicks off earnings season; posts results on April 16.
- Yahoo reports on April 22.
- Apple reports second-quarter results on April 23.
- Amazon is tentatively booked to scheduled to release earnings on April 23.
- Microsoft will post results on April 24.
