Nettime's Apotheosis

(((I was the first American ever on the nettime list, which means I've been on nettime for nettime immemorial. In all those years, though,
I don't think I've ever read a nettime post quite so nettime-ish as this one.)))

I'm supposed to *buy* an anti-capitalist book on "Zones of Proletarian
Development" (from, of all places, Amazon, one of the canonical embodiments of contemporary networked global capital)? I can't download the PDF from the BitTorrent network (site of collaborative distribution and reciprocal engagement)? As much as I wish to support authors of publishers of such books (and as interested as I am to read this one in particular), a grad student's stipend (and tolerance for tragic irony) only goes so far.
