Police in China's Chengdu Shuangliu county have arrested two gold farmers after one reported the other for "unfair revenue distribution," reports Pacific Epoch.
The pair, surnamed Li and Zhang, ran a gold farming and virtual item sales business within World of Warcraft that employed 20 employees and had earned nearly $230,000 USD in revenue over the last seven months.
It remains unclear as to what, if any, involvement either Blizzard or Chinese World of Warcraft operator The9 had in the arrests, though presumably the company's support the police involvement.
