In this video from Game 1 (via an Inside Gamer article), we get our first glimpse of the drum set in Guitar Hero World Tour being played by an actual human being — in this case, Chad Smith, the drummer from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
One piece of vital info: The drum pads will be "velocity-sensitive," meaning that the harder you hit the pads, the louder the sound that comes out of the game will be. Nifty.
Interesting to see how Red Octane’s position on drums has changed so suddenly. Here’s the company’s VP of hardware Lee Guinchard in October 2007: "Drums, I don’t know. I’ve played the Konami stuff, and as a videogame I didn’t really like it too much."
