Even if you weren't a fan of the series from Japanese animation studio Gonzo -- featuring co-producer Samuel L. Jackson voicing the main character, and Wu-Tang Clan's RZA providing the score -- this new look at how the game adaptation of Afro Samurai is progressing should get at least some of you excited.
The screenshots, posted in a gallery over at Kotaku, reveal a beautifully elaborate use of cel-shading. It's not unlike what we've seen with the upcoming cel-shaded Prince of Persia, but somehow manages to come off more detailed, to the point of looking like an illustration. We got a glimpse of gameplay in April, but I can't wait to see more of it in action.
Afro Samurai comes out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall.
