Davros would like to welcome The Doctor and his TV fans to the new Dalek Empire right here on Earth.
On the heels of this trailer tacked on to the end of last weekend’s Doctor Who episode, Turn Left, the BBC released a follow-up preview that reintroduces The Doctor to archnemesis Davros. The Beeb doesn’t allow non-license fee-paying global viewers to view much of its online video content, but the trailer is available unofficially via YouTube (above).
The video gives fans their first "listen" to the portrayal of Julian Bleach as Davros. Since the character’s crippled body and withered face (which buries an actor under a mask) don’t allow much in the way of physical performance, Davros is all in the voice. From what can be garnered from this video flyover, Russell T. Davies and company chose well with Bleach. (No laundry puns, please.)
