(((I don't have any big inside track on this spookery, but I look at it this way. Imagine you're a modern spook. And you've got two choices. You can sit there (a) monitoring traditional broadcasts with the huge antennas that are bristling over every major-power embassy in the world, OR, (b) you can get a tame search engine and pore over the captured keystrokes and even entire hard-drives of random slave-botted PCs from the planetary zip-code you find of interest.)))
