1up.com has launched a new series of intimate round-table talks with game creators, and I already want more.
Recorded at the Ozumo restaurant in San Francisco, the first episode of RSVP, hosted by former EGM editor Mark MacDonald, kicks the series off with three guests: Valve’s Erik Wolpaw, Q-Games president Dylan Cuthbert, and Everyday Shooter creator Jonathan Mak.
What choice bits do we learn? How about Cuthbert talking about trying to "find" the game for the third PixelJunk release, Eden, Portal writer Wolpaw talking about how the secret to was to cut away as much of the story as possible, and Mak, who towards the end of Everyday Shooter development almost scrapped most of it (and he’s got a million-dollar game idea, which I’d love to know more about).
Here’s hoping — no, here’s begging — that Mark and the 1up crew continue to produce these on a regular basis.
