A video has appeared on the YouTube showing the Knight Rider GPS in action. It starts off very well, with the pulsing light whump-whumping across the screen, but the moment KITT’s voice kicks in, you’ll be disappointed.
Supposedly it’s the voice of William Daniels, the original KITT voice actor, but to me it sounds more like Cameron’s impersonation of Sloane’s father in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
A little more poking around YouTube found the video below, which raises the pitch on the voice and makes it sound a lot more like the original. It still lacks KITTs signature camp exasperation, though.
