Capcom's latest "World
War II-themed vertical arcade shooter," 1942: Joint Strike, will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace July 23, and the PlayStation Network on July 24.
This latest entry in the 194X series "utilizes a fully
3D engine," though gameplay will remain largely similar to previous 194X games -- the most recent of which is now nearly 13 years old.
Fans of the series' arcade iterations will also be pleased to know that Capcom has included a two-player online cooperative mode in 1942: Joint Strike.
Pricing details have yet to be revealed for the title, though presumably the game will set you back around $10 in either its PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 incarnations.
