Konami is preparing a DS sequel to its inaugural Wii title Elebits.
Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero will be a direct sequel to the Wii original, following the adventures of Kai and his search for tiny energy-producing creatures called Elebits. The sequel finds him transported to an entirely new realm, where he'll continue to use his capture gun, but use the touch-screen interface instead of the Wiimote point-and-zap of the original.
New features will include the discovery of "Omega" Elebits, who will then accompany Kai and share their abilities -- which will become necessary -- throughout the game's stages.
The sequel will also make good use of the DS' wi-fi functionality, allowing head-to-head battles, as well as four-player matches.
Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero is set to hit stores this winter.
