The rumors of an Xbox 360 price drop have been proven (partly) true following Microsoft's official announcement of an updated console package with a bigger hard drive.

The good news for all you storage space-obsessed downloaders is that the old $350 price now gets you a model with a generous 60 GB hard drive. The old 20 GB model, now discontinued, gets a $50 price drop down to $300 while supplies last.

There are no changes to the hard drive-less Arcade and 120GB Elite models, which still retail for $280 and $450 respectively.
