There can't be that many fans of the first-person shooter genre who still haven't played BioShock. In the hopes of snagging the few who don't own a PC or Xbox 360, publisher 2K Games will be adding a few exclusive features to the upcoming PlayStation 3 port.
On top of adding some exclusive downloadable content in the form of self-contained, puzzle-like "Challenge Rooms," the PS3 version will include trophy support. Some of the game's trophies are listed below.
- Bronze trophies: These will be handed out to players who thoroughly try out all available systems, things like Researching,
Modifying Weapons, Hacking, and Crafting. - Silver trophies: One of them, the "Historian" trophy, will go to players who find every audio diary.
- Gold trophies: "Brass Balls" will go to players who can finish the game on Hard with the Vita-Chambers turned off.
- Platinum trophy: As in all PlayStation 3 games, you earn this when you collect all other trophies.
The PS3 port of BioShock is expected to hit stores in October.
