The first trailer from the upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R. prequel Clear Sky has just been released in all of its run-down, atmospheric glory.

The new game, set for release on the PC on August 29, gives players the opportunity to explore the world of post-meltdown Chernobyl first introduced in last year’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, only this time players enter the world a full year before the events of its predecessor.

Key additions to the sequel include improved enemy artificial intelligence,  new levels added to those expanded zones that return from the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and "dynamic transitions between day and night with realistic weather effects."

It’s unknown whether Clear Sky will also see a console release, but I have a feeling that we will eventually see it in some form on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or both.
