If you've ever dreamed of owning a premier downloadable gaming portal, now's your chance: Turner Broadcasting System is shopping GameTap around to prospective buyers in an effort to unload the subscription-based gaming service, reports Gamasutra.

Final sale details have yet to be ironed out – most crucially, the deal lacks a buyer – but word is that Turner is looking to sell for no less than $18 million.

GameTap, once the vanguard of Turner's assault on broadband entertainment, has slowly fallen out of favor with the media conglomerate in recent years: To wit, it was only three years ago that GameTap was granted a $50 million ad campaign.
