After reports circulated that Radiohead had written a score for the upcoming film, Choke, based on a Chuck Palahniuk book by the same title, a representative of the band called the report hogwash.

Apparently, the band's song "Reckoner" from In Rainbows (listen below) will play during the final credits – somewhat similar to the way the Pixies' "Where Is My Mind" closed out the hit film Fight Club, also based on a Palahniuk book. However, the representative categorically denied that Radiohead has scored the rest of the film.

The confusion stemmed from an interview Palahniuk gave the BBC, in which he said "(Choke director) Clark Gregg... knew that I'd written Choke whilelistening to (Radiohead's debut album) Pablo Honey, with "Creep,"
over and over and over. So Clark got Radiohead to contribute a song; to write a song for the very end of the movie, the final credits. Apparently Radiohead liked the movie so much, they've written the score."

Not so much.

Palahniuk said Radiohead's willingness to write the score was "incredible," according to BBC, and apparently the organization should have taken him on his word and done some fact checking. BBC later posted an update, to its credit, but the story had already been picked up by all manner of publications by then.

By "written the score" and "write a song for the very end of the movie," Palahniuk apparently meant that the band had agreed to contribute an already released song for the soundtrack.

Choke, about a med-school dropout, con artist, sex addict and direct descendent of Jesus Christ who takes a job working at an Irish historical theme park in order to care for his Alzheimer's-suffering mother, is slated for a November release.
