Production began last week on the third season of Torchwood -- or the first miniseries for the show, if you prefer. Series stars John Barrowman and Eve Myles are back to work in Wales for the five-episode, week-long story arc making up the entirety of season three, officially entitled Torchwood: Children of Earth.
Meanwhile, Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) put that last Torchwood hiatus to use by recording his second album. The one-time musical theater star will release "Music Music Music" on November 24 -- with the first single ("What About Us") arriving a week earlier.
But that didn't get Barrowman into the headlines as effectively publicly wishing for the BBC to get behind licensing a few Torchwood sex toys.
Claiming that the adult-oriented show doesn't lend itself to a kid audience and the action figures that come with such popularity, Barrowman jokingly companied: "We can’t make Torchwood toys. We can’t market to children because it’s an adult show. Maybe we could do Torchwood sex toys. I will suggest it."
Evidently, Barrowman is too busy being edgy and controversial to know about the licensed figures available from Underground Toys (above).
