Yet another trailer for the upcoming film adaptation of Max Payne has appeared on the ‘net, and surprisingly the movie still looks interesting.
There’s almost no way that this flick is going to be a cinematic tour de force on par with Casablanca (or even Cloverfield), but it looks to be hewing pretty closely to the games’ themes — a feat that should impress all those gamers burned by prior game-to-film projects.
Unlike the last trailer this one avoids overemphasizing the angelic elements (which I’m assuming are a metaphor at this point). Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing remains to be seen but until they manage to release a lame trailer, consider me cautiously excited.
