Given Apple's culture of secrecy, we love seeing the iPod's private parts. RapidRepair has documented a teardown of the three new iPod models -- the nano, the classic and the touch -- and provided step-by-step instructions on the process.
This could come useful for those who damage their out-of-warranty iPods and wish to take matters into their own hands (rather than throw down cash on a brand new one). Given the user-friendliness of the guides, the teardown process for each device looks simple enough -- but keep your hands steady and exercise extreme caution. I've tried to repair one of my older iPods with a similar guide in the past, and the poor thing now sits as a paperweight on my dresser.
