An upmarket Juhu bar in Mumbai was raided by the Mumbai Anti-Narcotics Cell late night on Sunday.

Around 235 people were present in the bar when the raids took place. All people have been detained so far, (((they rounded up the entire rave))) including Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor's son who was a Disk Jockey at the club. (((There had to be a movie tie-in – it's Tinseltown.)))

Ecstasy, cocaine, LSD were some of the narcotics found in the bar. (((LSD?! That's so retro, it's futuristic.)))

Eight people including a woman were reported to be peddling these drugs. The detained have been taken to various hospitals in the city in different batches for further blood examinations....

(((While Bombay's bright young things are cooling their heels in the collective clink, and rubbing their punctured blood tests... if they're all in the same tank, I'm thinking a mass popular movement will be forming soon... you may want to snuggle up on your couch of Euro-American insolvency, unarrested, with this helpful and perceptive beginners' guide to Bollywood.)))

(((It comes courtesy of Filmi Girl, who is one of the advanced new breed of offshore Yankee Bollywood bloggers, some of whom, like "Beth Loves Bollywood," are so incredibly hip that they write for the Indian press. They're almost all women, too, which means that misogynistic tough-guy Bollywood gangster flicks get kinda short shrift. Nevertheless these are excellent choices – if you watched all ten of these your newbie-ness would fade like the dew.)))

(((Yes, the gentleman on the right does, in fact, play an undercover cop in this movie.)))
