It's become seemingly trendy now for talent involved in the next James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, to dismiss their involvement in the blockbuster as something less than licensed to thrill.
Alicia Keys, who teamed with Jack White to record the movie's theme song ("Another Way to Die") said this week that she's not a 007 fan and isn't acquainted with the history of the franchise.
That's may be a forgivable sin to Bond fans, but it seems to flirt with hypocrisy to trip over yourself to get a chance to record a Bond song (beating out Amy Winehouse and others), only to act like it was no big deal to you when the job is done.
Keys follows in the flippant footsteps of new Bond villain Mathieu Amalric, who boasted he wasn't familiar with the Bond films before taking on this potentially career-changing gig and wouldn't develop an interest in 007's adventures when his role was complete.
