You may already know DJ Z-Trip from his legendary mash-ups of recognizable rock songs. Indeed, the man has come a long way since holding down Wednesday nights at San Francisco's Beauty Bar, which only fit 40 or so people. Now, Z-Trip has gone political with a free-to-download, 87 MB zip file containing a live 54-minute MP3 of the mix he's been playing as part of his fundraising effort for Barack Obama's presidential campaign.
"Recently, Shepard Fairey and I threw some fundraisers for the Obamacampaign. We called them 'The Party for Change' ...
I've been wanting to put the mixI've been doing at these shows online in hopes of spreading the wordto people who need to hear it most," Z-Trip wrote on his blog. "I encourage you to download it and pass it along to anyone you thinkshould hear it. Feel free to burn copies, share it with friends,
family, co-workers, strangers, and especially anyone you know is on thefence about this election. I'm also putting out a radio friendlyversion, in case anyone wants to broadcast it."
Z-Trip's Obama party mix is available for free on Z-Trip's site.
