Fable 2* fans hoping to snag the game's bountiful Collector's Edition are in for a shock: The bonus content in the CE has been "gutted."

Owing to "supply chain issues," Lionhead has revealed that the Collector's Edition will no longer include the "Hobbes" figurine, the five printed fate cards or the premium box. Still included is the bonus disc with the "Making of Fable 2" materials and the bonus in-game content.

It's not all bad news though, as dumping the extras has dropped the price of the CE to $70 (from its original $80).

As if to make amends, Lionhead will be offering the fate cards as a downloadable .pdf file. The company is also releasing a "special Fable album" comprised of musical selections from the entire series. That album will be available October 6, and will be free of charge.
