Facebook has overhauled its iPhone application, adding a slew of features that make it much more useful than the original release. Whereas the first iPhone app was primarily a way of consuming Facebook, the new version allows you to participate from your iPhone with new tools to post wall messages, search and add friends, read full news feed items, tag photos and quite a bit more.
In short, this the Facebook iPhone app you've been waiting for (well, provided you're a Facebook fan that is).
The revamped app also matches the look and feel of the recent Facebook redesign which makes for a more unified visual experience when jumping between devices. Users also report that the new version is considerably snappier than its predecessor.
Existing users can point their iPhone to the App Store section where an update should be available. If you've never tried the Facebook iPhone app, this link will lead you to the download page (note that the link will open iTunes).
