
American bar-goers who dropped cash or credit into one of Ecast's internet-connected digital jukeboxes overwhelmingly chose Metallica last month. The band's seventh album, Death Magnetic, was released on September 10.
Six of the top ten most popular songs on Ecast's network in September came from that album, "proving that the metal gods still reign large with fans," according to a company announcement.
As these numbers show, the nation's internet-connected saloons have been alive with the sound of the new Metallica:
