Brando (LABDEX listing: Beloved Crapware Vendor), has released a couple of shaking, shimmying maracas for the Wii, named the "Wii Samba DE Hammer ".
They are, like most Wiimote accessories, just white plastic toys with Wiimote-shaped holes in them. This particular set also requires the nunchuck, and is designed to be used with Gearbox Software's Samba De Amigo game. They cost $15.
Given that this kind of Wii add-on requires little know-how other than some model-making skills, we thought we'd suggest a few home-made projects:
Tool Kiit Deluxe: This comes as a set: a hammer, a screwdriver, and a spirit level. Bonus points can be earned by turning up for the game at 7AM, claiming you lent your tools to to your "brother in law", and leaving after demanding money to "get things started".
Elviis the Pelviis: A simple belt-buckle fastening, this accessory lets you dance like the King and send the ladies weak at the knees.
Real Nunchuk: Fashioned from hardwood rods linked by a steel chain, the Real Nunchuk is actually more fun to take to your local biker bar for some skull-busting action. No Wii required.
