  • fans will be pleased to hear that the series' unofficial mascot, the adorably snarky Prinny, will finally be granted a starring role when Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? hits the PSP on February 17, 2009.

As opposed to the developer's myriad strategy titles, P:CIRBTH will mark the first true action game from Nippon Ichi Software.

Plot details are scarce, but the game's official announcement has this to say:

You'll play as Prinny, and you have to track down the ingredients to the Ultra Dessert for Demon Lord Etna. Talk about a waste of time, right? But anything can happen in the Netherworld. So, off goes Prinny!
He has to find the Ultra Dessert in less than a day, or Etna will...(sorry, obscenity laws and common decency prevent us from repeating what she said).

Based on that I think it's safe to say the irreverent, surreal humor that made the Disgaea series so enjoyable will be safely intact for P:CIRBTH.
