Last month, DC Comics sent us pencil sketches for its post-Batman R.I.P. series Battle for the Cowl, wherein Commissioner Gordon, Nightwing and the rest of the late Dark Knight's family jockeys for control of his legacy and Gotham City. This month, DC Comics followed up with some Battle for the Cowl eye candy in living color.
In this preview of issue Battle for the Cowl No. 1, Nightwing, Robin, Huntress and more attempt to clean up Gotham's death spiral, as the underworld tries to rewrite its map of influence in the absence of the city's most persuasive defender. It's a chance to show off what the Batman family can do, or can't do, after losing its glue. Nightwing, at center below and above, takes the lead, but he also takes the brunt of Batman's loss. Badly.
