<cite>Silent Hill: Shattered Memories</cite> Planned for PS2, Wii, PSP

The only thing harder to kill than Pyramid Head is the series that spawned him. To wit: Konami has revealed yet another entry in the Silent Hill franchise, dubbed Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

Plotwise things seems pretty typical for the SH games:

Players follow Harry Mason, the maladroit protagonist who is searching for his missing daughter, Cheryl. While Harry wanders the snowy streets of
Silent Hill searching for clues of her disappearance, he must face twisted creatures from the depths of his frozen nightmares.

Though no much solid info was offered on its gameplay, Shattered Memories is said to include "a psych profile that changes the experience based on the players' gameplay choices." That could be an interesting gimmick if implemented correctly.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is scheduled to launch on the PlayStation 2, PSP and Wii platforms, though a release date has yet to be revealed.

Correction: As pointed out in the comments, Shattered Memories is a "re-imagining of the original Silent Hill," according to Konami's official release. We apologize for any confusion.
